Basic Plot

An inept magician, thinking the top hat he uses in his unsuccessful routine is useless, throws it to the wind.  It is carried over snow-covered fields and lands amidst a group of school children who have just built a snowman.  "...and when they placed it on his head, he began to dance around."  While leading the children in a parade through town square, the evil magician sees what the discarded hat can do and insists "he must have that hat!"  But the magician is not Frosty's only concern.  The weather is getting warm and he's beginning to melt.  The children hatch a plan to get Frosty to the North Pole where he will stay frozen forever....but it's not going to be easy.

Review

It's shocking to realize we've been watching all of the Arthur Rankin, Jr. animations since they first debuted on television...we refuse to do that math.  But, needless to say, we still watch Frosty and his friends every holiday season.  It's fun, light-hearted and a great tribute to the song upon which this feature was based.  Honestly, it just wouldn't feel like Christmas without seeing this classic at least once (usually more).  We recommend it to anyone with kids or those who are kids at heart.
