Basic Plot

Christmas is drawing near.  Naturally, Santa is very busy and can't spend a lot of time with Mrs. Claus.  As she becomes more and more lonely for the company of "tall people", Santa decides to invite his in-laws to spend Christmas with their daughter and the Calvins.  Of course, with this explosive combination of personalities, emotional chaos is bound to erupt...and it does.  Meanwhile, Jack Frost, who has always been envious of Santa Claus, plots to trick Scott into giving up the job so he can become "the big man" himself.

Review

Tim Allen reprises the role of Santa Claus in this third installment that continues the 1994 storyline.  This time around, the magic and warmth seems a little lacking.  It's amusing at times, but not nearly as charming.  We can't put our finger on exactly what's missing in this "three-quel", but it just doesn't give that same magical Christmas feeling.  We'll watch it occasionally, but it's a lackluster offering that won't be one of our favorites.
