Basic Plot

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye team up as a song and dance duo after World War II.  They become one of the hottest tickets in show business.  When they team up with a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) and change their plans to go to a Vermont inn where the girls have been booked, their lives change.  The adventure really begins after they find out the inn is owned by their old army general.  His financial struggle to keep the inn open inspires the song and dance pros to help in the only way they can...a musical review. 

Review

Granted...it's called "White Christmas", but the only true Christmas in this movie only takes place in the beginning and end.  However, Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye are exceptional in this 50's musical.  The storyline is a good one too.  And the music, lordy lordy the music.  Some of the most beautiful, heartfelt Irving Berlin songs ever written are showcased in this visually appealing film.  If you're an old movie buff like us, you'll love this treasure for Christmas or any time of the year.
